Allison & Will’s love story began when Allison was visiting Charleston, South Carolina for a friend’s bachelorette trip. Though Allison lived in Raleigh and Will was a Charleston local, the couple hit it off after meeting while out with friends in downtown Charleston. Will soon made a trip to Raleigh to take Allison on their first date, and the two were dating long-distance ever since.

“Will proposed on Pitt Street bridge in Charleston, which was our special spot. The first time I came to visit him he took me to get coffee and to walk on the bridge which had views of the harbor and the bridge. Every time I would come back we would walk the bridge. On the day of the proposal Will had told me we were going out to dinner with his coworkers, which is how he got me all dressed up. He casually suggested we go walk the bridge before dinner. It was really windy and starting to rain so I knew something was up because he was so adamant that we walk. After he proposed, he took me downtown for dinner and had both our families waiting at the restaurant/bar where we had met.”

Allison’s choice of gown was a one-of-a-kind custom Ines Di Santo design. After falling in love with the bodice of one Ines Di Santo gown and the skirt of another, she commented that she wished she could have a gown with both.

“Jamie was the one who told me that it was possible and really made it happen. It was great to see the vision we had come to life. The seamstress who helped me was amazing and did a fantastic job! We also did a custom length veil which I was really excited about.”

Allison & Will were married in a gorgeous candle-lit evening ceremony at the First United Methodist Church before hosting their reception at the Sutherland Estate in Wake Forest, NC.

The couple planned a breathtaking southern December wedding complete with mistletoe place cards, twinkling Christmas lights, and Santa hats for the reception!
