Inside Weddings Magazine – Winter 2012

Alexia’s was excited to have another one of our Brides featured in the Winter 2012 Inside Weddings magazine. Our Bride, Despina, wore a chantilly lace strapless mermaid dress with tiered skirt by Vera Wang and her Mother wore a satin organza mermaid gown with custom beaded belt by Liancarlo.

Charlotte Observer

Alexia was interviewed by the Charlotte Observer in February 2012 regarding the speculation of what Kate Middleton’s wedding dress would look like.  “Hopefully, it will be very grand and big,” says Alexia Joyce. I don’t want a sleek, simple design. Joyce is thinking the dress will be slim in the bodice and then full at the waist. She’d put her in a Monique Lhuillier dress with sheer lace sleeves, a floral textured skirt and a long train.”

Triangle Business Journal

The Triangle Business Journal featured an article in 2011 on Alexia’s decision the move of their boutique to the trendy Glenwood South area of downtown Raleigh.  The new modern facility will allow Alexia’s to continue servicing discerning brides throughout the Southeast as well as grow their evening and ready to wear business.

People Magazine

Alexia’s Bride, Cate Edwards was featured in the November issue of People magazine.  Cate wore a strapless silk satin gown with ruched bodice, draped skirt and rose detail by Monique Lhuillier.  Cate’s bridesmaids also wore dresses by Monique Lhuillier which featured a ruched taffeta bodice and full A-line skirt.

Essence

Bride Kim Austin’s wedding to NFL player Angelo Crowell was featured in a 2009 Essence article.  Kim wore a Duchesse silk scooped neck, strapless gown with asymmetrical wrapped bodice and pinched A-line skirt by Vera Wang.  The dress was completed by an embroidered veil by Reem Acra.
